Crime Scene:
In cases involving stabbings or shootings, it is often necessary to determine the path of the knife or bullet(s) through the body, as well as to portray the position of the victim when assaulted. Confusion often occurs when opposing sides insist that their hypotheses are the true reality.
Sheldon will demonstrate how the use of science (anatomy) can determine the trajectory of bullets, knives, or blunt force devices. The answer can often be found in the victim’s clothing.
Sheldon will investigate the garments of the victims or perpetrators. Trace evidence and environments also leave clues. He will review how voids and other physical evidence help put together a clear narrative. The knowledge of the body and how it moves and reacts to situations can help reenact (animate a situation) after reviewing all the following evidence: crime scene photos, autopsy photos, clothing photos, and autopsy documents.
The illustrator/animator can see the crime scene play out in real-time and can create accurate illustrations for courtroom presentations, depicting each internal body part being compromised as well as entrance and exit wounds.
